When I want good salsa to go with tortilla chips, this is the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (28 ounce) whole tomatoes with juice
  • 2 cans (10 ounce) Ro*Tel Original tomatoes and green chilies
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 1 fresh jalapeño with stem, seeds, and membrane removed, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 small bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 lime, juiced

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in food processor. Pulse until it reaches desired consistency. Taste with tortilla chip and adjust seasoning as needed.
  2. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
