Simple Fruit Cobbler
This is an easy dessert that I can knock out and serve in about an hour, making it a go-to for family night.
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 ounces frozen berries (or other fruit)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Add butter to 9x9 pan and melt it in the preheating oven.
- In mixing bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Add sugar, milk, and vanilla, and mix well.
- Pour batter into melted butter in pan. Distribute frozen fruit over surface of batter without stirring.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until the cobbler is thoroughly cooked in the middle and is golden brown.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream.
