Fake, Cheap Nutella
This is what happens when I buy a jar of off-brand Nutella and my kids eat the whole thing before I get any. This isn’t the real thing, but it scratches the itch, costs less, and I have everything as pantry staples.
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 4–6 tablespoons no calorie sweetener (or powdered sugar)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch salt
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 2–3 tablespoons milk or cream (optional)
Directions
- In medium bowl, combine peanut butter, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Drizzle in melted coconut oil while whipping with hand mixer.
- If using milk or cream, continue whipping while slowly adding it until desired consistency is reached.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Refrigerate if using milk or cream.
